How To Make Healthy Eating Simpler With Sun Basket

Want to make healthy eating a little bit simpler? Sun Basket delivers delicious and healthy ingredients to your door every week!

Have you ever tried a meal delivery service before? Maybe you’ve been intrigued and thought about trying it, but haven’t committed because it didn’t seem worth it. I feel you, friend.

Want to make healthy eating a little bit simpler? Sun Basket delivers delicious and healthy ingredients to your door every week!

In general, I don’t talk about food much on my blog because, simply put, I’m not a food blogger. I’m not creative in the kitchen, and I’m also pretty lazy when it comes to making food. That being said, I like my meals to be simple and quick, while still healthy and delicious.

Since The Blissful Mind is all about making your life simpler, I’m always on the hunt for ways I can make things just a little bit easier. That’s where Sun Basket comes in!

Sun Basket Meal Delivery Kit

Sun Basket is a new healthy meal kit service that delivers 3 recipes per week for 2 or 4 people, with organic ingredients and easy, delicious recipes for cooking at home. I was kindly sent a Sun Basket delivery box to try and was totally amazed with the recipes they sent me. And because I was so impressed and wanted you to try it too, there will be a giveaway at the end of the this post! Heck yeah.

I was sent a breakfast frittata with spinach, pepper, and pesto plus a coconut-almond smoothie which tasted legitimately like a creamsicle! I also had pan-roasted salmon with fregola and artichoke pilaf which was amazing, as well as a red lentil soup with arugula, yogurt, sumac, and goji berries. My tastebuds were in heaven.

Want to make healthy eating a little bit simpler? Sun Basket delivers delicious and healthy ingredients to your door every week!Their recipes are designed for minimal cleanup and take no more than 30-minutes, which is fantastic because I absolutely hate cleaning up after cooking. Each week, their chef develops an array of quick, healthy recipes to choose from, including Paleo, Gluten-free and Vegetarian options, plus healthy breakfasts. One of the things I love the most about them is that their packaging is 100% recyclable and they offer a free return shipping label so they can recycle the materials for you.

Other reasons I love it:
  • The ingredients are pre-measured which means less hassle and less waste
  • You get to enjoy the best seasonal ingredients
  • You can discover new products and flavors that are hard to find on your own

I know what you’re thinking…are meal delivery services really worth the investment? I’ve definitely been skeptical of meal subscription services in the past because I couldn’t comprehend how it could possibly be worth it to pay that much for three meals every week. After all, I can probably go to the grocery store and put together more meals for way cheaper.

But as soon as I tried the whole meal subscription thing, I was completely hooked.

I realized that it’s actually a complete lifesaver, at least for me. I work from 9 to 5 which means that the last thing I want to do when I come home is cook a meal. You all know I like to keep things healthy, but if I’m not prepared, I will end up eating cereal or waffles for dinner.

Eat Clean $30.00 Off

In order to make sure the entirety of my paycheck isn’t being taken by food, I think that getting a box delivered every other week works the best for for my needs (and bank account). I’m basically hooked on the meal subscription idea, and I’d 100% recommend Sun Basket if you’re interested in giving it a go.

Oh, and what easier way is there to get started than with a giveaway?!

  • I’m always a little cautious about subscription services because they can drain your wallet :/ Wow, there are even subscription services for meals! That’s kind of amazing (: -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

  • I’ve never tried it. But here in Germany they have sort of “fresh, natural, organic” food baskets that they deliver to your house and I’ve been meaning to try it out for months. I love the idea that you get to try out new veggies (and fruits) on a seasonal basis. Your post actually inspired me to look deeper into it :)

I’ve tried Blue Apron and love the service and recommend it to everyone who is too busy to prep healthy meals. Sun Basket sounds excellent and I’d love to try it.

  • Beauty in Christ

I’ve never tried anything like this, but it looks AMAZING!

I’ve never tried a meal delivery service because I have a feeling I’ll love it and be addicted, but I think it’s time to venture out and be adventurous! This one looks delicious.
