33-Piece Spring & Summer Capsule Wardrobe 2015

I’ve been meaning to do this post for months, but I think I was just putting it off because I wasn’t 100% satisfied with my closet. I realize now that things will never be perfect, and I’m actually quite content with what I’ve been wearing for the warmer months.

Spring & Summer Capsule Wardrobe

Without even meaning to, I have exactly 33 items in my wardrobe, which is a common number for capsule wardrobes. I don’t personally have a system for deciding how many pieces go into my closet. My only real rule is that I wear every single item.

Unlike my last capsule post which included only clothes I’d wear to work, this post includes everything that’s currently in my closet minus a few pieces here and there that I haven’t worn much. I do work in quite a casual office, but most of these pieces are versatile enough that I can make them look a little more dressy if I need to!

Not sure what a capsule wardrobe is? Here ya go!

Maybe this will be useful if you live in a hot climate or maybe you’ll get inspiration for next summer. Either way – I hope this is interesting and/or helpful to you!

A few combinations
Spring/Summer Capsule Wardrobe Combinations

As you can see, I like to include pops of color alongside more neutral pieces. Proof that a capsule wardrobe doesn’t have to be monochrome! And I didn’t include items like plain white tees simply because I’m planning to do a separate post about basic items to include in your capsule wardrobe!

Do you have a capsule wardrobe? What’s your favorite piece of clothing right now?

  1. I love your style! I would wear all of these outfits! I think a summer capsule wardrobe is a such a good way to downsize and get creative with fashion! :) Love this post!

  2. I love how you have pops of color in your capsule wardrobe! As I was sorting through my clothes, I realized that I didn’t have very many shirts that would go well with skirts. The shirts I have are usually just thrown over a pair of jeans. So next time I go shopping, I’ll be sure to keep that in mind! I really love that last outfit :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

  3. What a lovely capsule! It’s so succinct but so colorful, which is a surprising and exciting combination! I’m always in black and white but I definitely appreciate those who make a capsule work with color and pattern.
