My Health & Wellness Goals for The Year! #BeBold2016 Linkup
Welcome to the third week of the #BeBold2016 linkup – a blogging community to make your 2016 brighter! Today I’m sharing five of my health and wellness goals for the year, and I hope you’ll join us by sharing yours too!
In case you missed the introductions, Be Bold 2016 is a linkup for bloggers to share their goals for the year and connect with other bloggers. Through this, we can all grow our blogging communities and find cheerleaders and accountability partners to help us own our goals and make 2016 bright and bold! Here are the prompts and linkup dates:
January 8: What’s your word or intention for the year?
January 15: What are your blogging goals for the year?
January 22: What are your health goals for the year?
January 29: What are your personal goals for the year?
My Health Goals for 2016
1. Try more outdoorsy forms of exercise
I’m talking about hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, paddleboarding, and all that jazz. I want my 2016 to be a little more adventurous, and in my mind these are adventurous things to do. Obviously I’ll have to wait until the summer to squeeze some of these in, but I imagine it’ll be a pretty epic summer if I do all of these!
2. Keep a health journal
I think one of the easiest ways to keep up with your health goals is to write everything down. I don’t want to be too obsessive about this or start writing down calories or my weight, but I want to track my workouts and meals better to see what’s working and what’s not.
3. Improve my yoga balances
I’ve been practicing my handstand for literally a year now, and I’ve only just managed to hold it for a few seconds without a wall behind me. It takes some serious practice, guys! Obviously I want to be able to hold it for longer, and the same thing goes for my crow, scorpion, and eight angle pose.
4. Take dance and trapeze classes
I’ve been talking about taking dance classes for years now, and I want 2016 to be the year it finally happens! I’ve also been really intrigued by trapeze and aerial tricks lately, and I think it would be super legit to take classes and most likely embarrass myself in the process.
5. Sit less
Sitting at a desk all day honestly drains the life out of you. I want to make sure I’m getting up, moving around, and stretching regularly during the work day to improve my posture and just make sure my body doesn’t hate me. Ya feel me?
