Share your personal goals for 2016 with the #BeBold2016 linkup!

I’ve loved reading everyone’s goals so far and getting to connect with so many different bloggers (and the lovely co-hosts – Kate, Gina, Allie, and Christina) to encourage each other with our bold goals! In case you missed the introductions, Be Bold 2016 is a linkup for bloggers to share their goals for the year and connect with other bloggers. Through this, we can all grow our blogging communities and find cheerleaders and accountability partners to help us own our goals and make 2016 bright and bold!

My Goals So Far

Have you chosen a word to guide you through 2016 yet? Here are three tips to help you choose!

#BeBold2016 Blogging Linkup: Share your blogging goals for 2016!

Health Goals 2016 Featured

Our last prompt for the linkup is our personal goals for 2016. You all know how big I am on personal development, so I’m sure this list will grow throughout the year. But for now, here are my personal goals for 2016!

My Personal Goals for 2016
1. Make The First Move

I would love to step outside of my comfort zone this year and start taking the initiative. I’m the kind of person who usually waits for other people to talk to me, but I think it’s time to change that! I want to reach out to other bloggers, old friends, new people, and work on my networking skills as well. This definitely ties in with my word of the year (see why I’m embracing possibility in 2016) because opening yourself up to opportunities gives so much room for possibility! If I hadn’t reached out to Gina in December telling her how much I loved her blog, I probably wouldn’t be co-hosting this #BeBold2016 linkup – there is so much good that can come from putting yourself out there!

2. Travel To Europe

I used to travel a lot before I became an adult (yeah, right…I’m still not an adult) with a 9-5 job, but it’s been a struggle to find the time/money/resources to go somewhere again. I really feel the need for some adventure in my life, so I’m making this the year that I visit Germany for sure and hopefully Austria, Amsterdam, and the Czech Republic if I can squeeze them in!

3. Start Coaching Services

In case you missed the announcement, I started grad school in January to get my master’s degree in Health & Wellness Coaching, and I would love to get the ball rolling on coaching! Even though I’m obviously just getting started with this program, I still feel like I can offer services to others and get a feel for what this might look like as a career in the future.

4. Read More

Isn’t this always everyone’s goal? I feel like I majorly slacked with my reading in 2015, so I’ve set myself a goal to read 15 books this year. That may not sound like a huge number, but I know what’s reasonable for me. If you are interested in some books I’ve been reading lately, check out this post about 5 blissful books to read in the bath!

5. Learn More About Photography

I’ve always loved taking photos while traveling or being with people I love to really savor the memories, but I’d also love to learn more about the ins-and-outs of photography and improve the photos I take for my blog and Instagram. Maybe I’ll take a class or just ask my step-dad for help since he’s definitely a photography buff.

Your Turn! What are your personal goals?

Hey, I'm Catherine! I'm a mindset & self-care coach, blogger, and the creator of The Blissful Mind. I’m here to help you enjoy less burnout and overwhelm in your life so you have the time, energy, and confidence to pursue what matters.

  1. Love your goals! I’m so happy Kate got us all together because now I found another blog to adore! Your goals are so inspiring and I can’t wait to see you accomplish them this year! So happy we were able to do this and I look forward to collaborating with you more this year! <3

  2. My top goals for this year are to buy a house with my boyfriend, eat healthier and cook more, and finish Yoga with Adriene’s new Yoga Camp series!

Good luck with your goals love, I know you can do it! Hope your Master’s is going well so far — that sounds like such an interesting course and I’m sure you’re super great at it :)

  3. These are some amazing goals! I am eyeing getting a DSLR this year so that I can get back into photography as a creative pursuit.

  4. Great goals Catherine! Especially the making the first move goal – that’s something I’m working on as well. And as ridiculous as it sounds, my goal for the year is to get better at setting attainable, actionable goals for myself. Often times I set these crazy lofty goals (which is good) but execute poorly. I definitely need a new approach.

  5. Oooh your goals are so fun! Especially Europe, reading, coaching and photography! It seems like you have a blissful year ahead in the making! And yay! I love that we were able to chat about blogging and getting to know each other. And it’s worked out so well having everyone involved in this linkup! I hope we can do more collaborations soon this year!

  6. I am with you 100% on travel. The summer after I graduated college, my best friend and I went on a 2-week Eastern Europe trip, and we stopped in Berlin, Vienna, Prague and Budapest (and two cities in Poland). Highly recommend all of them! I really want to go back to Germany and Austria… well really anywhere in Europe!

  7. So many great goals, Catherine! I also want to work on making the first move and travel more – I feel you on the need of some adventure :) And it’s so exciting you’re starting coaching services this year, I wish you the best of luck! :) x
