If you’re a productivity nerd like me, I’m sure you love finding new tools to plan out your life. I, for one, have tried countless planners and apps over the years in an attempt to find the best tools that streamline my schedule and help me tackle my to-do list.
Of course, the hardest part of planning is actually finding a tool that does everything you need it to do. There are so many planning tools out there, and it’s hard to know if they’ll actually work for you unless you take the time to test them out. And once you’ve found a good system? Well sticking to it is a totally different story.
Luckily, you don’t have to do all of the hard work when it comes to finding new planning tools. Lately, I’ve been using Skillshare to help me discover the best planning tools and learn exactly how to use them effectively. 6 Skillshare Classes for Planning Your Week
In this class, Mike teaches you how to create a productivity framework that helps you get more efficient with your todolist. Mike shows you how to use tools like Todoist to create your own productivity system that will transform the way you get things done. The big idea here is creating daily themes that remove the guesswork from our daily schedules. Todoist has been one of the to-do list apps that I’ve used and recommended for years, and I like that this class gives you an idea of the different ways you can use it.
I’d never heard of Notion before taking this class with Francesco, but I’m intrigued to give it a try after learning what it’s all about. Basically, Notion is an all-in-one workspace that allows you to take notes, manage projects, and keep track of tasks. In this class, Francesco walks you through the basics of setting up your Notion workspace so you can keep track of different projects, goals, wish lists, calendars, and ideas. Since Notion is a little confusing to set up, I highly recommend taking this class to get you started.
Evernote is a tool that I’ve used here-and-there for years, but I’ve never used it to its fullest potential. That definitely changed after taking this class. Evernote Expert Lindsey Holmes talks about creating a core hub to manage your day-to-day life, and Evernote has tons of great features to help you do this. You’ll learn how to create a custom productivity system in Evernote so you can get more done, and you’ll learn about Evernote hacks and features that you probably didn’t know existed.
Google Calendar is my lifesaver when it comes to keeping track of my schedule, and this class by Skillshare founder Michael has some incredible tips for planning out your ideal week in Google Cal. Michael provides super helpful tips for daily productivity like choosing 3 priorities for the day and week, and he shows you exactly how he plans out his ideal week so you can get inspiration for your own weekly planning.
If you prefer good old paper planning over digital planning, this class will show you how to get the most out of a planner system. I love that Leslie offers multiple planning system ideas to help you find one that will work for you, and she shows you how to create yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily planner layouts. From different planning systems to identifying your priorities, this class will help you get creative with your planner so you’re more likely to use it.
Trello is one of my favorite tools for planning out my projects and to-do lists, and this class will teach you how to use Trello to get more done. Brian teaches you to get the right things done by understanding the why behind your goals and priorities. From there, you’ll learn how to use Trello boards to manage projects, teams, and your schedule. This is a great class if you’re looking for a new digital tool to keep you more organized and productive.
