Mind, Body, & Soul Goals for January 2016

The Blissful Mind Goals for January 2016

Happy January, my friends! I hope you had a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday – although who else is feeling a little frantic now that the new year is in full swing? I know I need a serious planning session to wrap my head around everything I need to get done.

The Blissful Mind Goals for January 2016

Thank you to everyone who filled out my reader survey a few weeks ago! There was so much helpful feedback and post ideas, and I can’t wait to get started on new content for The Blissful Mind in the coming months.

In my goals for December post, I asked if you wanted me to continue posting my top three goals for each month and the answer was a definite yes. I’ve decided to switch it up a little bit (partly because this post about nourishing goals was such a hit) by sharing my mind, body, and soul goals for the month instead. I’ll still be setting three goals each month, but I’m going to make sure to focus on those three areas for a more balanced approach!

DECEMBER GOALS RECAP

I’m not going to do much of a recap of my December goals here because let’s just say I failed miserably. I didn’t read 20 pages a day and I only followed the 30-day writing challenge for about a week. I definitely got more active on snapchat though (@theblissfulmind), so feel free to follow me on there if you aren’t already!

MY GOALS FOR JANUARY
1. Start A Gratitude Journal (Mind)

Using tips from this post, I’m going to start writing what I’m grateful for each day. I haven’t done this for a loooooong time, but I think it’s such a practical way to stay grounded and present when life gets hectic.

2. Stick To A Workout Routine (Body)

I’ve come up with a weekly plan for myself that incorporates pilates, yoga, and turbokick, and my goal is to stick to it for the whole month. One of my biggest struggles lately has been consistency, but I know I need to get into a routine if I want to exercise regularly!

3. Be On Time (Soul)

I am a notoriously late person. Even though I get up well before I need to be anywhere, I somehow get distracted and underestimate how much time I have. Meeting at 10? Let me just go ahead and paint my nails. My friends and family have started getting irritated with me because of this, so I think it’s time I made an effort to respect their time!

  1. Oh, I LOVE the way you’ve broken this down. You know that I am all over this, girl! I just have so many jazz hands and glitter throws going on for 2016 that I haven’t done a very good job at sitting down and making my goals actionable. Either that or I have 1 million actionable goals. This’ll be part of my power hour tomorrow for sure. :)

  2. Happy New Year! I agree the past few days have been a lil frantic for me starting my new changes! But I’m pushing forward! I definitely need to stick to a workout routine too! Best wishes on your January goals!

  3. I always look forward to your monthly goals! I think a gratitude journal is so important, I love filling mine in one certain days and looking back on what I’ve written. :) Wishing you all the best and I hope that you can achieve all of your goals my dearest Catherine! xxxxx

  5. So glad to hear about your goal for being on time…I thought I was a crazy person surrounded by type A “timely” people. But hey, at least no one can knock us for unprofessional chipped nails…just sayin’! I’m working on this right there with ya, girl!
