Thank you to Skillshare for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
Want your life to feel a little more *together* in the new year? I think we all do, especially if you’ve started to feel stuck in the same old patterns and long for a fresh start on pretty much everything.
Sometimes we feel stuck because we’re not learning anything new or getting to embrace our curious sides. When I was working a 9-5 job, I constantly wanted to learn more about everything except the job I was working in. I wanted to learn photography, marketing, entrepreneurship, coding, a language etc.
Sometimes the place you’re in doesn’t allow you to be curious because you’re stuck doing the same things over and over without much room for growth. If that’s the case, you have to take matters into your own hands.
Maybe you’re looking for ways to improve your life professionally, financially, physically, or recreationally. Perhaps you want to learn new skills that you might not get from your current job or get better at things you’re clueless about. Even if you don’t know how to make it happen, you’re determined to figure it out.
The good thing is that you don’t have to figure out everything yourself. Skillshare is an amazing online learning community that can help you on your self-improvement journey. With over 20,000 classes in productivity, business, photography, and more, there’s are so many different skills you can learn through this platform.
Today, I’m sharing ten Skillshare classes that have inspired me to make positive changes in my personal and professional life. If you’re looking for simple ways to improve your life this year to feel like you have your life ‘together’, check out the classes below to get you started!

5. Become A Better Cook
Most of feel like we don’t have enough time to cook for ourselves, but in reality, we might not have the confidence in our cooking skills to make it happen. In this class, Kenny Monroe teaches you the techniques and skills necessary to cook healthy, seasonal food without following exact recipes. You’ll learn where to find the best ingredients, what cookware you should have, and what staple pantry items you should keep stocked. By the end of the class, you’ll know how to make pan-roasted chicken breast with fingerlings and kale, and a radish and grains salad with pea shoots and celery root.
6. Stay On Top Of Your Finances
We could all do with managing our finances a little better, and this class is especially helpful for freelancers and small business owners. This class is super visual and engaging, and I loved learning about how psychology comes into play with our goals and habits.
